I want to jam, but I don’t know the tune!
Learn how to “cheat” at jamming using chords, scales, root/fifths, pentatonic scales
“One Chord to Rule Them All”
Learn one simple pattern and be able to play any chord. Will learn to “chop” chords and play arpeggios. Will practice playing backup chords to a couple of common fiddle tunes.
Do-it-Yourself Embellishments.
We will use a familiar tune and figure out how to embellish this tune and make it our own.
I’m “In the Mood” for Rag Time!
Learn how a 3-note repetitive pattern over a 4-note measure gives you that “rag” feeling. Will learn chopped chord backup, too, if time.
Get Your Bluegrass On!
A favorite fiddle tune in Bluegrass, Old-Timey, and Celtic! Will learn to “chop” chords as a backup, too.
